We founded MILTERRA with a simple conviction: what heals our bodies must first heal our soil, our cattle, and our farmers.
Over the past three decades, commercial dairy industrialized rapidly. High-yield hybrid European cows were tied to concrete pens, injected with synthetic oxytocin to force lactation, and fed genetically modified silage. To maximize corporate profit margins, real curd-churned ghee was replaced with factory-boiled cream, and wood-pressed oil was replaced with solvent-extracted refined vegetable oils.
The result? Families experienced chronic gut inflammation, hormonal imbalances, and a complete loss of the rich granular aroma our grandparents grew up cherishing. MILTERRA was born as a return to sacred truth.
In our partner gaushalas across Gujarat and Maharashtra, the calf is always fed from two teats first. Cows and bulls live their full natural lifespans with dignity—they are never abandoned or culled when lactation naturally stops.
We work exclusively with purebred Indian cows—primarily Sahiwal and Gir—that have the natural hump and Surya Ketu Nadi. Their milk contains 100% natural A2 beta-casein protein that is gentle on human digestion.
Zero hormones (Oxytocin/BST), zero routine antibiotics, zero pesticide residues. Our cows graze on chemical-free pastures rich in natural grasses, ashwagandha, and medicinal herbs.
We reject single-use plastic bottles. Every drop of MILTERRA Ghee and Honey is packed in lead-free food-grade amber glass jars to protect active nutrients from UV degradation and prevent microplastic contamination.
MILTERRA directly partners with over 45 pastoralist families and traditional oil-crushing artisans. By paying fair above-market compensation directly without intermediaries, we enable traditional farmers to preserve heirloom cattle breeds and practice regenerative agriculture for generations to come.
